"Battered Woman Leave" - Based on RA 9262 (Anti-violence against women and their children Act of 2004). This law allows the victim of violence, a "protection order" which will shield her from further violence (may be psychological, physical, sexual) and provide her with related reliefs. If the victim is an employee, she is entitled to a paid leave of up to ten days in addition to other paid leaves under the Labor Code, other laws and company policies. The leave is extendible when the necessity arises as specified in the protection order."Special Leave" - Section 18 of the Magna Carta of Women (RA 9710) grants a special leave benefit of 2 months with full pay after a surgery caused by gynecological disorders.
"Parental Leave" - Also called "Solo Parents' Leave" (Solo Parents' Welfare Act of 2000). In addition to leave privileges under existing laws, parental leave of not more than seven (7) working days every year shall be granted to any solo parent employee who has rendered service of at least one (1) year.
